We organize and enjoy numerous social activities throughout each year. The OPENING RECEPTION in September marks the beginning of our new year. This year’s Opening Reception was held at the historic Water Works in Fairmount Park, along the banks of the Schuylkill River. It was a spectacular setting and a wonderful event!

The HUC CHRISTMAS PARTY in early December is another festive occasion. This year’s event will take place at the elegant Greek Restaurant, ESTIA in Center City.

The highlight of our Club’s social calendar is the ANNUAL DINNER DANCE, a formal event held the first Saturday in February to commemorate the anniversary of the Club’s founding. It is also the occasion when we present our Achievement Award to an individual who has attained extraordinary professional achievement.

Proceeds from this gala benefit our Scholarship Fund.

On the Sunday prior to the Annual Dinner Dance, an Artoklasia Service celebrating The Day of Greek Letters is observed at one of the Greek Orthodox churches in the Philadelphia region; the service honors the Three Hierarchs of the Church who exemplify the Club’s dedication to PAIDEIA.
